Bansal initially began developing the story in the form of diary entries, drawing inspiration from personal experiences. Over time, she transformed those experiences into fictional narratives, eventually developing her first screenplay.
Her earlier screenplay, a legal drama, was rejected. She subsequently wrote Meethe Mein Kya Hai in less than three months and decided to direct the film herself, bringing the family drama to the screen through her own creative vision.
